This paper is the Northern Way's response to the Department for Transport's consultation on Developing a Ports National Policy Statement.

The Northern Way considers that the ports National Policy Statement reflects the Government's policy on ports but there is also scope to develop further the Government's policy position with the goal of supporting national economic growth and wider Government objectives, such as Public Service Delivery Agreement 7 which relates to regional economic performance.
